Grants.gov System Enhancements & Server Maintenance
Monday, July 14, 2022
Grants.gov announced that they are migrating their systems to the cloud. Their primary goals are to improve performance and avoid the constant cycle of hardware upgrades. There will be down time for both the training and production systems according to the schedule below. InfoEd is working closely with the Grants.gov team to test S2S submission functionality beginning later this month. We will provide more information as the testing progresses and the migration approaches, but at this time, no significant impact is anticipated other than the down time.
Grants.gov is coordinating with agencies regarding application deadlines. Many agencies are adjusting their deadlines to avoid the downtime window. NIH expects to publish a Guide notice very soon outlining their plans, which do not include moving deadlines but will include additional flexibilities. Users should be alert and watch for shifting deadlines as September approaches.
The Grants.gov Production System will be offline during the following period:
- Production System will go Offline Friday September 23, 2022 at 12:01 AM ET.
- Production System will go Online Thursday September 29, 2022 at 11:59 PM ET.
The Grants.gov Training System will be offline during the following period:
- Training System will go Offline Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 12:01 AM ET.
- Training System will go Online Monday September 19, 2022 at 6:00 AM ET.
